Gail enjoys BWF superseries

The BWF superseries is coming to an end with two of the closing events being the VICTOR China Open (12-17 November) in Shanghai and YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open.
The China Open was dominated by the home players, as three title-holders from last year all retained their crowns in the Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles and Women’s Doubles. Lee Yong-Dae, who was part of the Men’s Doubles winning team, was one of the duo that knocked Gail and her partner Nathan Robertson out of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, eventually going on to win the Gold medal.
The Hong Kong Open saw a surprise and dramatic victory for English mixed doubles pair and married couple Chris Adcock and Gabrielle White. Their remarkable 21-14 24-22 victory made them the first English winners at the event in 28 years.
Gail said: “It’s an incredible achievement for Chris and Gabrielle at an event that is traditionally dominated by home players. The two of them look to have very bright futures ahead of them.”
