Gail is delighted to have joined the coaching staff of BADMINTON England, helping to develop England’s female double prospects and young mixed doubles pairs.

She will be bringing a huge amount of experience to the role, having won numerous medals at championships across the globe. Her experiences at the very top of the sport will be invaluable to young developing players, and she will be working alongside national coaches.  

Gail became BADMINTON England’s first official ambassador in 2009, mentoring young players at all levels of the game.

She said on her recent appointment: “When I look back at my career and how important my coaches were to me, I really want to give something back -- and to mixed doubles in particular.

“I really want to help the younger players and pass on my experiences I have learned throughout the years in professional sport. I’m here to work alongside the great coaches we have at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes and give a little bit of input.”
